An Interesting Theory I've found today

Today I decided to look up cartoon classics I've watched during my childhood. My family always had these burned VHS tapes. I didn't know it at the time but after taking a course in Animation History I realized all of these cartoons I've loved where by some of the most professional and talented animators in history. "Comicolor Cartoons" Jack Frost (1934) by Ub Iwerks. One of the greatest Disney Animators "This mans made history".  The next is by Max Fleischer's Somewhere in Dreamland (1936) Fleischer is the one who brought Betty Boop "Who you all know" to the big pictures and last is a German cartoon by a less famous German Animator Hans Fischerkoesen in (1944) Der Schneemann aka Snowman In July about a snowman coming to life and having his behind bitten by a small terrier.

I was rewatching these classics when suddenly I noticed something, one of the Simpsons episodes "Burns Verkaufen der Kraftwerk" has a scene where Homer dreams he's in a chocolate world and a terrier comes up to him and whimpers away as Homer bites his butt. So I did some research and found little to nothing of the twos connection however that doesn't mean animators decided to do some research on German animators and found this classic and decided to do a homage of it. Somewhere in Dreamland also may have been referenced because it's a cartoon about two poor children dreaming of a world of candy and chocolate that they can eat.
